I have a job! A part-time job, anyway, with a friend, who is creating a Speculative Fiction library called The Sprawl Library. It’s really fun. I’m evaluating and cataloging books dated back to the 1950s. It’s enough to keep me going for a few more months anyway, while I wait for the red tape to clear on some of the other jobs I’m looking at.
I got my degree from Kent State today, too. It’s pretty, though this isn’t a very good pic of it:
Finished Kevin Smith’s biography. It was excellent. I laughed a lot, I cried a little, and I was even a bit inspired. Trying to decide what to listen to next. Anyone have suggestions?

Had a really good weekend with friends. Good conversations, good food, good fun. Glad to see some folks I hadn’t seen in a while. Relaxing this week. Checking on jobs, but still getting radio silence for the most part. My diploma should be in the mail to me next week. 🙂 Started Listening to As You Wish, Inconceivable Tales from the Making of the Princess Bride, this week, too. Very fun. Started work on my next Tuesday night character, too. We’re doing the MechWarrior setting, so that should be interesting.
Hope everyone has a good weekend celebrating with their loved ones and/or watching Deadpool. 😉 I know some friends are heading up Chicago way for Capricon 36.

I had a good time visiting Erika, Brian and baby Elle at the end of last week, as well as getting to see the happy Grandparents. She’s only 4 weeks old now, so tiny little sleepy, hungry dear, but good to meet her and visit with friends. Went out to dinner with my brother’s family, and one of the sets of in-laws on the weekend, too. Gave my nephew an early happy birthday hug while I was at it. So many children. 😉 But it was good to see them all, too.
This week has been more shenanigans, as I returned home to find my internet out, again. This time it was due to my AT&T modem apparently dying, so two days later, when I finally got annoyed enough to call, they mail me a new one, which raises my bill by a rental fee. Weeee! Customer service lady gave me poor information, so I ended up spending another extra day without net because I missed the delivery. But once I got it in hand, setup went smoothly, and I even did it properly, changing the Network ID and everything.
Found three entry-level library jobs to apply for this week. Still waiting to hear stuff on the dream job(s). I have a back-up plan, come March, but I really don’t want to use it. Fingers crossed.
