Spent my morning helping a dear friend move to a new house. Then finally finished fixing my dryer. Yesterday, I laid out my rows for my skirt project, and tonight, I’ll be setting up my new sewing machine to put it all together. First, though, all the laundry ever.

I still have a lot of projects in the works: framing art prints, painting minis and a dice tower, and writing/blogging projects, and drawing projects. All of which is making me wish I had a proper space to do them.

Case in point, laying out skirt rows on an afghan and yoga mat on my living room floor:

Yes, the skirt will be a ridiculous riot of colors and patterns.

Work is going well. I worked a lot on my paper this week, and some file organization. And I led a class through career search/exploration websites. I’m giving another class a library tour this coming week. I’ve got one conference this month and one next month. A busy, busy summer.

Looking forward to my eye appointment and getting a proper prescription soon. And August, forever looking forward to August. So excited for all the travel and things!

In books, I finished Creativity, Inc. and Vinas Solamnus, and listened to Audible Original – You Do You: Proud to be Fabulous, and now I’m on to Ender’s Game Alive, a radio play version of the book. It’s really well done. In media, I finally got to see Into the Spiderverse thanks to Netflix. I really liked it, but the warnings are very true, lots of flashy ‘lights,’ so beware. I’ve also been playing Wizard’s Unite, the new Harry Potter AR game, and it’s fun, though time consuming if you let it be.

Edit: Set up a bigger table:

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad and all the fatherly figures!

Happy Anniversary to my Parents!

Happy Birthday to Kalyn!

Happy Pride weekend to Columbus!

It’s been busy weekend here, but all full of love.

I was one of 13,000 marchers for equality yesterday in the Columbus Pride Parade, and one of half a million attendees to it and the Pride Festival downtown. It was a wonderful thing to be a part of, and so nice to see an old college classmate as our Grand Marshall!

I also dropped by Origins Game Fair for a break from all the walking and to say hi to some friends. Some day I’ll get a badge and actually attend.

At work, summer is moving along, and we’ll have all new printers soon. Finishing up some projects and digging into new ones. Summer is quiet on our campus, with a lot of looking towards the influx of new students in the autumn.

At home, my crafting table is piling up, but my first project this coming week will be replacing the too temperature bits on my dryer. Parts ordered and waiting.

I’m still working my way through Creativity, Inc. and really enjoying the discussion about managing creative enterprises. Need to get back and finish Vinas Solamnus, and then the second Dragonlance narrated by Liam O’Brien. I’ve got a few Audible Originals, too.

Sorry family and loyal readers. I really thought I had posted more recently.

Camping was great. Not too much rain, just enough to keep us cool. The food was delicious, the evening music delightful, and the stars were Beautiful!

Last weekend I did some clothing shopping for my UK Trip. I got some convertible pants, a floppy hat, and some hiking shoes. (Second pair of pants with the rebates from the purchase this weekend).

I also stopped by Jo-Ann for cloth to make into a patchwork twirl skirt. This week I got a few more things for that project, including a small sewing machine. I found some instructions and started cutting squares, as well.

Also had a great time with friends this weekend at a birthday party. Many boardgames were played, but some of us gathered around the TV to watch Secrets of the Zoo about the Columbus Zoo. So many cute animals!

Work is going well. Lots of projects in the works for summer. Several completed this week, including writing my first grant proposal.

In books, I finished listening to Kill the Farmboy (very odd, but entertaining) and started Creativity, Inc. from the library.
