My presentation went well. GenCon was packed with fun, games, art, and people. The live show was amazing. My games were fun, we even made friends with the monster in the Cthulhu game.

WorldCon was also a great time. I met all the authors I planned to and a few more. I got books signed, played games, and made new friends. I met The Library Bards and got a picture with them and a signed one of them. I went to panels and concerts and even danced one night away.

Dublin, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Glasgow, London, and Bristol made for a very busy sightseeing trip. I saw lots of castles, cathedrals, cemeteries/crypts, buildings, and monuments of all shapes and sizes. Photos will be forthcoming when they are edited and organized.

Back to work this first week of the semester has been a rough transition, but we survived. I caught up on email, and trade mags, and organized the next run of our Research Guide awareness campaign. Next week it’s right back into the swing of welcome fairs and teaching information literacy.

Over vacation I read a Lot of Comics. From Jessica Jones to Ms Marvel to DIE to Locke and Key to Killmonger to Mister Miracle and probably a few more I am forgetting. I finished listening to Fated by Benedict Jacka and will be starting Cursed soon.

Looking forward to football and Ohio Renaissance festival starting this weekend!

I had a great time at GenCon. My presentation at OPAL was a success. My brain is full thrust into my next adventure.

My apologies for the radio silence, but it likely won’t get better until September. I’ll try to post a photo or two here as I go, but the majority won’t be up until I get back.

In the meantime, I’ve colored in a few of the sketches I did earlier this year. Enjoy!

It’s almost WorldCon!

Tomorrow is my first professional presentation at a conference. All the nerves, but it will be fine. I have been getting a lot of practice here at school, so it won’t be complete stage fright, just a bit jangled. I am prepared and have all the info I need, and all will be well. I put a lot of work into this project, someone ought to hear about it.

Then my first GenCon, first live CR show, followed shortly by my second WorldCon, first time in Scotland and a best friend’s wedding. It’s a great month ahead of me. All the excitement! I even put pockets in my skirt!

I had a great time with friends this past weekend and a nice trip up to see family. Duvet cover for my birthday, I have reached adulting status. (Thank you, Pete and Sarah.)

I finished Ender’s Shadow, Wishes and Wellingtons, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Vox Machina Origins II issue 1. Now, I have picked up a new author with Fated by Benedict Jacka. It’s a modern British wizard story in the vein of Dresden, he even references him a bit at the beginning. I also picked up issue 2 of A Darkened Wish. It’s so Pretty!
