We had a great weekend at a cabin in the Hocking Hills. Playing board games and D&D. Last weekend I went to the RenFaire again, and watched three jousts, three mud shows, a couple pirate shows and bits and pieces of other shows.

At work I’ve gotten my survey results and made lots of pretty pie charts. Now, I’m working on getting the Usability Study organized and running.

In the audio world, I’ve caught up on Season two of Critical Role and I’ve started Season one. It was really fun to watch their live show at NY ComicCon and I’ve been watching a lot of random related videos on Geek and Sundry, as well. Since the last post, I’ve finished Dread Nation and also listened to Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. On the writing side, I’ve pickup up an old gifted journal to get my creative brain rolling again.

Had a nice weekend in Chicago with friends. We went Pokemoning around Elgin, and did a few raids. We went to a local pizza place for lunch and a ridiculous football game. Had fun gaming and porch swinging/rocking in the storms. Today was a Battletech scrum.

First week of Fall semester went smoothly. Though the heat and impending storms postponed Week of Welcome fairs. I’m putting together a guide to a new art/history exhibit for mid-month. I’ll post it when it’s public.

Still chugging my way through the Critical Role season two podcast. I’m at episode 14 and this week was 33, so, soon I’ll catch up. Unfortunately, they play at 7pm California time. But I’ve also got Grimoire of the Lamb by Kevin Hearne in the queue.

Happy New Year to Everyone!

I gamed with friends all weekend. First Rifts and then a handful of board/card/dice games.  Now, I am finishing the night watching football in front of the fireplace.

I hope you all have a wonderful, happy, and healthy 2018.

Sorry folks, I know a bunch of you looked for this a few days ago… I need to sort out this exhaustion. It’s not like I didn’t have time, I just used it to potato.

In that vein, I have started watching Supernatural… which then requires me to watch West Wing before I sleep, though not all the episodes freak me out, they’re getting less creepy, though I’m sure it’s just a phase. 😉

On the work front, it feels like half the staff was out almost every day this week. So, it was a very busy, strange week. Thank you volunteens and interns for stepping up and helping out. They had their big party this past Friday, too.

So, that means summer is almost over, our reading program is done-ish (one more week to pick up prizes, though no more sign ups). The YMCA, I believe has two more weeks, but our summertime story times are done, and we have a two week break before the schooltime story times begin. One more week of lunches, before we take a short break before schoolday snacks resume, I believe. And it’s time for me to look for my next career step. One more week before I can apply within CML, and I’m scouring the surrounding areas, as well.

I learned to play the Harry Potter:Hogwarts Battle card-building game yesterday, as well as Xia: Legends of Drift  with the Embers of a Forsaken Star expansion. Which I’m told makes it very different, though I never played without it, so I’ll have to take their word for it.

On the reading front, I’m pushing my way through Wheel of Time again, I’ve re-borrowed The Gathering Storm on Overdrive. I’ve also downloaded the new Libby app, and have a few holds waiting there, to see if I like it better. So far, I’ve had trouble finding my hold/loan shelf, but only until I figured it out. It’s rather simple, it was just too simple for someone used to menus.
