It was a nice long weekend of relaxing and not accomplishing much beyond laundry. I did drop off my car to get it fixed, but most of the work was done after the holiday, and now my car drives smooth as ever. Yay!

All the schools have started up again, so my mornings at the library are pretty quiet. We’re reorganizing some of our sections to see if we can up the check-out rates in audio books.  At Sprawl, I’m getting back into Glen Cook’s collection, while Mowgli sorts books he sent back from his WorldCon trip to Europe.

Coming up is some time with the puppy, and some playing of Kingdom Hearts remastered on the PS4. But first, I’m going to a conference tomorrow: 2017 ASIS&T Midwest Regional Conference.

I finished The Republic of Thieves, and Maurice and His Educated Rodents. Now I’m into Towers of Midnight. I’ll finish The Wheel of Time some day soonish, just one more after this.

I have a job! A part-time job, anyway, with a friend, who is creating a Speculative Fiction library called The Sprawl Library. It’s really fun. I’m evaluating and cataloging books dated back to the 1950s. It’s enough to keep me going for a few more months anyway, while I wait for the red tape to clear on some of the other jobs I’m looking at.

I got my degree from Kent State today, too. It’s pretty, though this isn’t a very good pic of it:

MLIS Degree

Finished Kevin Smith’s biography. It was excellent. I laughed a lot, I cried a little, and I was even a bit inspired. Trying to decide what to listen to next. Anyone have suggestions?

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Family and Friends!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Ralphie tried to save me from myself by attacking the loaf of wheat bread for the stuffing, but I caught it before it was destroyed. I may have roasted the hen upside-down… maybe. All in all, though, it turned out really well. Just ate about half of this (all the hen, not quite half the cranberry sauce) for first dinner. Finishing it in a few hours for second dinner.  😉

Had a really nice weekend with friends this past weekend. Another one ahead. December, funnily enough, will be much quieter than November was. Hopefully, it’ll help me keep up the energy I need to get a job nailed down. A lot of applications to send out there. Still optimistic.

Taking a break from Dresden Files until I can get the Marsters narrated Ghost Stories. (I tried, I just couldn’t do it with Glover.) So, I picked up Neil Patrick Harris’s Choose Your Own Autobiography audiobook from the library. They had to change it up a bit for the audiobook, but it’s just as entertaining as I expected.  Going to take a look for Carey Elwes’ As You Wish, too at some point. It wasn’t at Bexley, when I was, at least.

Enjoying the ridiculous Detroit Lions game today. Wow…

Hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend.
