May is always a busy month, and this month is no different. First weekend I went up to visit my Parents, Nieces, Brother, and his Fiancée and her kids. Second weekend was MarCon. This weekend was a Pokemon Community Day, Deadpool 2, and lots of cleaning to get ready for next weekend. Next weekend is Barfleet’s annual camping trip. For which, I’ve been busy punching 160+ personalized dogtags, with a very old and cranky machine.

Work is going great. I’m loving all the things I get to do, and my lovely coworkers. I had a great time at Innovate 2018 at OSU, and an ALAO conference called Actively Inclusive. Currently creating a Use and Usability study for our Research Guides.

On the reading front, I finished Dead Beat and listened to The Magician. New Butcher book coming next month, and a buy two for one credit sale on Audible right now. Haven’t looked at it yet, but my credit just came through.

Also, there’s a new baby kitty outside.

We loaded the trailer, unloaded the trailer and set up the large bits. Tomorrow we set up the small bits, and then Saturday we play board games and have a party! Yay!

Dinner tonight is teriyaki chicken and broccoli, followed quickly by strawberry shortcake. 🙂

I finished the required bits for my PHP/MySQL project, and if I have time, I’ll even make it pretty. 🙂

So much to do this week, I even cleaned my kitchen while cooking tonight.

Four more weeks of school, I can do this!

I had a great weekend camping with 106 other people over Memorial Day weekend. We had beautiful weather, tasty food, and roaring fires. The games kept people entertained, the music kept people bouncing, and the stars were amazing (even if we didn’t manage to see the big meteor show we were supposed to see). I got a little crispy, but not many bug bites at all, (and there was much rejoicing). Can hardly wait to do it again in the fall.

Returning to homework and the store has not been fun this week, but I’m managing, with only a bit more irritation than normal. Mildly crispy skin is itchy. Halfway through my three week class, and going strong.

This weekend is relaxing with the puppy and kitty, and maybe heading out to a bonfire (or two) for a bit Saturday night with friends. Then the last rush of finishing up assignments and discussions by next Friday, so I can have a peaceful June. So very excited for my trip to England. 🙂

MarCon was great this past weekend. I had a blast with all my friends from far and wide. It was good to relax and hang out. The new cups are pretty, and kept trash to a minimum. The new sound system was sweet, and kept both rooms rocking. I’m told we even had some toddlers dancing in a nearby room.

This weekend is more hanging out with friends Friday, a small get-together on Saturday, and then family on Sunday. Mom’s even bringing me her very own homemade tomato sauce! I am ridiculously excited about her sauce. 🙂

Monday is the start of my May-term management class. Three weeks to do ten modules. And I had to buy three books for it. Wheee fun! So I’ll be starting that this weekend, too, because next weekend is camping. Yay, camping!

November began with my first of two Zag days. Yes, that’s two zag days in two weeks, but it was the second of five Fleet parties in a row(anf I’m missing the next three). So it began with an Early breakfast the day of the party, which included a hamburger and a piece of carmel apple pie. Lunch was at a local Vegan restaurant and was Divine. All the food was completely vegan. I had bread, salad, spaghetti salad, a potato dish I did not understand, butternut squash pancakes and an apple pastry dessert with apple and butternut squash sorbets, along with fresh squeezed apple juice infused with lavender to drink. Dinner was an odd assortment of foods created by various members of fleet including, but not limited to: sweet bacon crackers, pork and beans, deviled eggs, a cream puff, chocolate chip and bacon cookies, brownies and garlic bread. I drank mostly coke & stuff throughout the night to end my zag.

As for the rest of the week, things went fairly typically. I’m back down to one Enbrel shot every two weeks, for a couple reasons, but most notably, I’m feeling pretty good. My elbow is still it’s usual ornery self, but nothing seems to change that. I see my Doctor today, so we’ll have some things to talk about. Including some three months without health insurance as Rich has accepted a new job doing tech support.

Food of the week: Aladdin’s Garden Pita
