November began with my first of two Zag days. Yes, that’s two zag days in two weeks, but it was the second of five Fleet parties in a row(anf I’m missing the next three). So it began with an Early breakfast the day of the party, which included a hamburger and a piece of carmel apple pie. Lunch was at a local Vegan restaurant and was Divine. All the food was completely vegan. I had bread, salad, spaghetti salad, a potato dish I did not understand, butternut squash pancakes and an apple pastry dessert with apple and butternut squash sorbets, along with fresh squeezed apple juice infused with lavender to drink. Dinner was an odd assortment of foods created by various members of fleet including, but not limited to: sweet bacon crackers, pork and beans, deviled eggs, a cream puff, chocolate chip and bacon cookies, brownies and garlic bread. I drank mostly coke & stuff throughout the night to end my zag.

As for the rest of the week, things went fairly typically. I’m back down to one Enbrel shot every two weeks, for a couple reasons, but most notably, I’m feeling pretty good. My elbow is still it’s usual ornery self, but nothing seems to change that. I see my Doctor today, so we’ll have some things to talk about. Including some three months without health insurance as Rich has accepted a new job doing tech support.

Food of the week: Aladdin’s Garden Pita

Diet-wise, things are going alright, but not great. My elbow is still swollen, but everything else is doing fine and nothing is hurting. Drugs have been a little messy this week due to work issues and not being able to get a couple things refilled and worrying about others. So I haven’t had my shot, but I probably should do again soon to see if I can get this elbow down. Eating a lot of Yeast-Free, Spelt bread these days, toasted with soy butter and garlic salt for my snacks throughout the day. I’ve had a lot less raw food at home lately, I blame this on…well, myself. But Also on not having tuna to put into a tuna salad wrap. I was taking salads to work, but none of that now. Mostly doing stirfry veggies, or just warmed up frozen veggies for dinners. It’s heading into cold weather and I like warm food even more when it’s cold out. Need to look into a good Tomato-based soup recipe. 🙂

Food of the week: Jimmy John’s Totally Tuna Unwich.

I’ve stopped taking my drugs. Not intentionally, I’ve just been lazy. I think I last took some on Saturday, maybe Friday. I’ve little aches here and there, but some movement and stretching generally makes them feel better. I really need to make the time to exercise, and I keep saying this, but it’s true. Yoga, Tai Chi, Strength Training, something, probably all of the above. Food’s been going alright, though I’ve had mad cravings for chocolate lately. And, I admit, have indulged a few times. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this yet, but I’ve lost quite a bit of weight, I’m down to 125 last check. That’s 20 pounds in the last three months. Was not my intention, and I’d really rather gain some of that back, in muscle preferably(see the need to exercise). Other than that, things are really going quite well.

Food of the Week: Red Potatoes and Broccoli, dressed with Olive Oil, Rosemary, Basil and Garlic Salt.
