Temps have been all over the board this week. Just another January in Ohio. Had a great time with my friends at DeCon this past weekend. Played some games, had some tasty food, even danced a tiny bit. Short post today because I’m also hanging out with friends tonight, and tomorrow, and the next day. Busy, happy life.

Finished Small Favors, and I’m now on Turn Coat in the Dresden binge. At work, I finished Callahan Chronicles, and now I’m listening to Star Beast by Heinlein. Still waiting on quite a few books on the hold list.

So much to do, and so little time. πŸ™‚

Sorry about the late post, I spent yesterday working, and moving gear into the DeCon hotel. It’s going to be a lovely weekend relaxing and partying with friends. I had a great time last weekend watching musicals with friends, as well. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful life and great friends.

Work moves along at it’s usual pace. Fingers crossed for a big change soon. But the library continues to find new ways to serve our customers, this year the focus is on, not what we think they want, but finding out what they Really want.

Started into Callahan’s Chronicles this week, while waiting on the hold lists. Finished White Night, and am now into Small Favor on the Dresden front.

Right now, I’m waiting for lunch to finish cooking so I can eat and get out to DeCon. πŸ™‚

Last week before Safelite. So, I’ve put in double hours this week. Favorite boxes were Heinlein and Robinson, though there were only four of the latter. Hoping the second palette has more. Any rate, found some 1st mass market edition (all had previous hardcover editions) Heinlein’s that I thought I’d share:

This weekend is Cleveland ConCoction. Fun with friends, and fleet, and fans. Looking forward to it. πŸ™‚ Β Started listening to The Rolling Stones today, enjoying it very much. Stranger in a Strange Land is next up.

I’ve got to slow down. I keep forgetting things. I put a sign on my door earlier this week that says: Slow Down. Take a Breath. Do you have Everything you Need? Are you Sure? Β Didn’t forget all the things I needed for today, so I guess it helped. πŸ™‚

Today went well. Good thoughts and positive vibes and fingers crossed. An exciting possibility is in the works.

Enjoying another week with only one class. I start my Database driven Websites workshop this weekend. Get to learn more about Access, SQL, and ColdFusion. πŸ™‚ Should be fun!

Had a nice gaming party with friends this past weekend. Went very well. Had a great time. A bit of hanging out planned for this weekend. And possibly an early matinee of Captain America.

Also, having finished The Third Kingdom by Terry Goodkind (still need to read The First Confessor), I started a new Heinlein book this week: For Us, The Living. About a third of the way through. Spider Robinson is definitely right in his introduction – it’s not a novel per se, more of essays on Heinlein’s views that shaped the rest of his books. Enjoying it anyway, it is very thoughtful.

Updated a handful of passwords thanks to newly announced internet bug. FTP no longer likes me, but it’s dinner time, so I’ll figure that out later. πŸ™‚

I can’t even think of anything I’ve done in the last week. How do people blog daily? I have a hard time doing weekly sometimes. Hm… I’ve started rereading the Callahan series by Spider Robinson. I think I’ve got almost all of them now. I might be missing one, but I’d have to check again.

20-30 hours at work all this month, so that’s good. After this week I go back to all 7am shifts, not Quite so good, but can’t have everything. No news on the other fronts. Still debating between the ease of Craigslist and the possibility of higher profit (for loads more effort) on eBay for the Care Bears. Anyone know a collector who will just solve the problem for me? πŸ˜‰

Upcoming August Highlights: Family birthdays, and our 7th Anniversary.
